Kirsty and Ruth oversaw preparations for a barbeque in the Gordon's
back garden. Both were uneasy, however, over the likelihood of
misbehaviour by their brothers. Ruth's worst fears appeared to be
confirmed when she accidentally interrupted Ali poised over his
computer together with a bottle of baby oil and a box of tissues.
As the party got into full swing, the boys' hormones went into
overdrive. Tommo taunted Ali and Stuart over their lack of success
with the opposite sex compared to himself. His libido fuelled by
alcohol, Ali relished the chance to indulge in a sexual encounter with
one of the party guests, Stella. He was over the moon he'd finally
been able to lose his virginity.
Ali celebrated his conquest with a similarly lecherous Tommo, and both
began dreaming of moving into their own flat together and entertaining
a stream of visiting females. Stella had a different agenda, however,
and decided to announce Ali had raped her. Hearing this news, Stuart
lunged himself at Ali, furious that his brother would do such a thing.
Sean accompanied Ali to the police station after Stella officially
reported him for rape. He begrudgingly gave a statement, but feared
what might happen next. Back home Ali tearfully protested his
innocence, denied he raped Stella, and insisted their encounter was
one of mutual consent. Kirsty believed his story and set off to track
down Stella in order to see if she was really telling the truth.
Citing her own experiences of sexual abuse, she managed to get Stella
to retract her statement.
Elsewhere Steve and Kirsty finally managed to overcome the differences
between them and agreed to make a go of their relationship. They
realised they had more in common than they thought. Sean offered to
spend the day with Nikki and to try and build bridges in their
relationship. She couldn't help but get irritated, however, by Sean
needing to look after Luke all the time. Nikki resented Sean having to
get caught up in the affairs of the Gordons. Sean tried to make her
understand where his priorities lay, but Nikki seemed unconvinced.
