I've been banned

Hi folks

Just a few lines to say that I've been banned indefinitely from
the forum on the official Brookside site. It's a real shame as
I enjoyed the cut and thrust of debate about Brookie and don't
believe a total ban was at all justified.

Sure, I might have pointed the finger at people like Redmond
who casually washed his hands of his baby rather than fight
its corner but these things needed to be said. No-one from
MTV or their web acolyte Conker Media has contacted me to
offer a reason/excuse so it's left to me to say they aren't
keen on home truths and would rather we burble on inconsequentially.

Shame but no surprise.

Didn't realise you'd been banned, the Ed has been almost invisible on the forum
lately.

Hi Theodore!

Many thanks for your support. It would seem I was summarily banned some three or so
weeks ago, for what I know not as no reason was given. No-one from MTV or Conkerworks
has contacted me with an explanation. Please tell everyone on the forum that I am
alive and well and trying to rectify the situation...without compromise!

Cheers and I dare say the ed is loooking for a new job!

Hi Flicker - shocking news indeed. It would be highly unusual for you
to get banned without a warning message or explanation e-mail -
although they couldn't send that if your e-mail address was incorrect
and bounced. That might indeed be a reason for your account being
deactivated. I can't believe they would summarily ban you, without any
kind of explanation. If they have failed to reply to your e-mail then
it could be that they are simply too busy. :o( Are you sure that you
are personally banned - have they blocked access to the site, giving a
server error page when you try access the forum, or is it allowing you
to log in and then saying that the username or password was incorrect?
